    Community Flea Market and Historic Tours at Old Zion Church

    Old Zion Lutheran Church, located at 628 N Broad Street, will host a Community Flea Market & Historic Church Tour on Saturday, April 25th, from 10am to 2pm.

    The family-friendly event will feature vintage finds, homemade food, and guided tours of the beautiful interior of the church, including an impressive collection of stained glass.

    The event will commemorate America250 and honor the area's Armenian Heritage with the unveiling of a nearly 15,000 square foot garden and walkway designed as a public space to accommodate permanent art installations for generations to come. RSVP to attend today

    Public Events at The Spring Gardens Beginning in May

    The Spring Gardens community garden will host a series of public events starting next month, including themed food truck nights and "Yoga in the Garden" classes, and culminating with the popular Parks on Tap in mid September.

    Festivities kick-off on Wednesday, May 13th, with their Annual May Day Festival Fundraiser, featuring food from Deke's BBQ, Humpty's Dumplings, and Tacos Don Memo, with beer and wine available for purchase from Bar Hygge.  Mister Softee will also be stopping by!  The event is free to enter, with donations appreciated to help maintain this beautiful neighborhood amenity.

    No outside alcohol permitted.  No Pets.  (Rain Date: 5/20)

    First Details for FIFA Fan Fest Recently Announced

    The first round of details for the FIFA Fan Festival were released to the public late last week. Philadelphia will host the 40-day event at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park from Thursday, June 11th to Sunday, July 19th.

    The event website has been updated with hours of operation, and applications for prospective vendors and performers. 

    Further information will follow, including logistics for transportation and parking and how they will effect surrounding neighborhoods, as well as details about "activations" event organizers are planning across the City to take advantage of the influx of tourism
